- As we are in the first few days of our 21 Days of praying & fasting, let me remind you to WAIT .
- To wait, means that you stop what you are doing.
- You puase.
- Think of the last time you waited for someone who you really wanted to be with.
- You are waiting to see them and hear all about what they are doing.
- You look for them with expectancy.
- You anticipate their arrival.
- And then when you see them, you feel a smile come on your face and joy fill your heart.
- You feel the warmth of their presence.
- Their presence fills the empty places in your life.
- Then you join together in the next part of the journey.
- The rest of the journey is so much better because you have someone to share it with.
- Everything seems so much more full of life.
- That’s the type of “waiting” that Isaiah 40 is talking about.
- Wait for Him to show up!
- Don’t move ahead of Him today.
- And when He joins you, you enjoy the fellowship and the companionship and you follow Him wherever He leads.
- Because if He’s not in it, you don’t want it.
- Ask yourself this question…”Have I been waiting on the LORD or have I been going without Him?”
- Have I gone my way and asked Him to join me in my thing or have I waited to see what He was doing?
- There is a big difference!
- When you wait on Him, He renews your strength!
- You won’t be worn out and tired because He is carrying the load.
- You won’t wear out and you won’t pass out!
- You will mount up with wings like eagles!
- He will take you higher than you could ever go on your own.
- He will give you a different vantage point.
- You will have a clearer vision and you will be able to see farther ahead.
- He will take you places you never thought you will be able to go.
- And when you arrive, you will have a freshness and newness!
- You will say, “that’s all it took to get here?”
- That’s what happens when you wait on Him.
- Today, wait on Him.
- Be patient, wait on His timing.
- Be humble, let Him map out the course and choose the right path.
- Be obedient, follow where He leads!
- Today, during day 3 of the fast, simply WAIT!
- He’s worth the wait!
- Have a great Tuesday!
