- How you love proves who you Love!
- If you say you love Christ but are critical of others, gossip & complain and are jealous....do you really love Him?
- If you hold onto bitterness & resentment ...do you really love?
- If you have a problem forgiving, then you have a Love problem.
- Jesus says that “By This” everyone will know that you are a Christian.
- Notice that He doesn’t say, “people will know you are Christians because you SAY you love.”
- We all know the phrase, “Actions speak louder than words.”
- Well that phrase is very true with love.
- You can’t just “say it”, you’ve got to “show it”.
- And as you show it, little by little you begin to "live it”.
- Love is an action word.
- Love is not just an emotion or a sweet card.
- Love is a decision!
- Each day you make a decision if you are going to love.
- Love those who hate you, despise you and reject you and even disagree with you.
- Jesus loved us so much that He gave all that He could possibly give…He gave up His life for us.
- Ask yourself this question, “How have people seen me love, this week?”
- Love tears down walls of hate and divide.
- Love listens before it speaks.
- Love reaches out to heal instead of inflicting hurt.
- Love encourages and builds up instead of tearing down and de-valuing.
- Love forgives unconditionally.
- Love, Propels others forward.
- Love, Help others advance and get ahead.
- Make it your goal and aim to prefer others over yourself.
- Love, Points out the good and the giftings in other people including your co-workers.
- When you do this, you prove to others what a real follower of Christ looks like and how they should live!
- Do you always have to make sure that your opinion is heard and that "you are right”?
- That’s not Love.
- 1Corinthians 13:4 gives us the best description of Love, it says, "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud (5) or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. (6) It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. (7) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
- And just so we know how important it is to love, verse 8 goes on to say, "Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!”
- Love lasts!
- Today, your world around you is watching to see if you are the “Real Deal”
- They are looking to see what a real Christian looks like and acts like.
- So, today...Love Well!
- Have a great Weekend!
