"I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! (Psalm 116:1, 2 NLT)
"He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name." (Psalm 23:3 NLT)
- If you are feeling worn out or burnt out, God wants to come along and give you new strength. - Instead of pushing through the weariness and working harder, God may be asking you to take a step back... Just "Be". - He says, "Rest in Me", "Rely on Me", "Trust in Me"! - When you work harder, you trust in yourself; when you trust in Him you work less. - Work and the world will tell you that your worth is found in what "You Do" or how much you produce. - Don't let these things define you. - You are defined by what He has done. Your worth and value is found in Christ. - Take a step back and rest in Him. - Give Him your very next step, your next decision, your next thought. - don't do more ... "Be more!" - "Be" refers to the verb "to be". It is a state of being. - Be accepted In Him.(1Cor.6:19-20) - Be Significant in Him (John 15:16) - Be Loved in Him.(John 3:16) - Be secure In Him.(Rom. 8:1-2) - You will never be able to have new strength until you know who you are. - You will never know who you are until you know who He is and what He has done and what He says about you. - That is how He Renews you ... - From the inside out! - When you do this it brings honor to His name! - Let Him Guide you and Give you New strength today! - Just "Be" - Have a Great Thursday! "So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:34 AMP)
- Would you define yourself as a worrier? - Do you become consumed with the "What ifs" or "what could happen"? - The root of this is fear. - Fear of what could happen. - Jesus' words that precede this are "But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides." - Jesus says to strive after His Kingdom and His way of living. - In other words let a relationship with Jesus be your greatest Goal. - Let your pursuit of Him become your Highest calling. - As you chase after Him you become consumed with Him and are filled with His love. - 1 John 4:17 says," As we live in God, our love grows more perfect...." - and verse 18 says " perfect love expels all fear." – His love will kick out all fear... - There will be no room for fear or worry. - You will begin to have His confidence and His faith. - You begin to look at the uncertainties of tomorrow through His eyes. - You will have His boldness and confidence. - You will experience a new freedom...The freedom of His love! - Today, make the choice to live as 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." - ALL your worries & ALL cares! - He cares about what you are going through and your needs. - He loves you! - Let His love fill you. - Let His love kick out worry & fear! - Have a great Wednesday! "For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you." (Galatians 3:26, 29 NLT)
- Do you know who you are? - it is important to remind yourself, and keep your identity right in front of you. - You are an heir! - An heir is "a person legally entitled to the property or rank of another on that person's death. And a person inheriting and continuing the legacy of a predecessor." - Imagine if you were an heir to Bill Gates or someone incredibly wealthy...That would be amazing! - But you are an heir of someone far greater... The Creator and maker of the the Universe! - Romans 8:16 says, "For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory." - As an Heir you are legally entitled to certain things... - You have an eternal inheritance and a spiritual inheritance that is available right now. - You are : • a Partaker of the divine nature of Christ – 2 Peter 1:4 • More than conquerors in all things – Romans 8:37. • Co-laborers with God – 1 Corinthians 3:9 - You have: • All things that pertain unto life and godliness – 2 Peter 1:3. • Power and anointing in the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8, 1 John 2:27. • Forgiveness of sins and freedom from guilt – 1 John 1:9 & Romans 8:1. • Divine health and healing – Matthew 8:17. • Freedom from poverty – assurance that our needs will be met - Matthew 6:36 • The prosperity in all things including our soul – 3 John 1:2. • Love, joy, peace and righteousness in the Holy Spirit – Romans 14:17. • Victory and freedom from the bondage of sin – Romans 8:11. • An abundance of grace for every good work – 2 Corinthians 9: 8 • Happiness – Matthew 5, Beatitudes. • Security – Psalm 91. - You cannot live out who you are until you realize what you have. - You have legal rights to your inheritance right now. - You do not have to receive fear, sickness, depression or anxiety... - You can receive power, love, a sound mind, healing and health! - All of what Christ has is available to you! - As a co-heir with Christ, you actually can partake of His blessing right now. - He has given you the Holy Spirit of promise as a down payment. - Remember, this is your inheritance. - It belongs to you. - Now, tap into it and Use it! - Have a great Tuesday! "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (Romans 8:28 NLT)
- God is working for your good. - He created you for eternity, not just this brief life on earth. - This life is just a vapor...here today and gone tomorrow. (James 4:14) - His ultimate goal is for you to know Him and to develop the character of Christ in you. - You may wonder why you have to go through your current difficulty or conflict. - Why are you going through your current struggle? - Well, God is more concerned in your character than your comfort. - His goal is to develop the character of Christ in you. - Rom. 8:29 says "For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son..." - Gods plans for your life are far greater that your plans. - He sees more that you see. - He sees farther that you see. - He has more in store for you than you could imagine. - Jer. 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome." - He is interested in your final outcome. - Your final outcome is Hopeful. - Your final outcome can spell V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! - So, as you face your difficulties allow them to push you to Him, not away from Him. - Use the conflict or struggle to get close to God. - Allow Him to work out of you whatever He needs to work out of you in order for you to be the best person that He can use for the job He has for you. - Get the pride out. - Get the fear out. - Get the jealousy out. - Get the anger out. - Get the lust out. - Get the greed out. - Get everything out that does not look like Christ. - With every step, He is shaping you and molding your life to be able to handle the great plans He has for you. - It's all working together for your good. - Everything! - Trust in Him with all your heart. - Rely on Him with every step. - Have a great Monday! "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me this way, just as the Scripture says." (John 7:37, 38 MSG) - Do you feel drained and empty on the inside? - Do you feel like you have given out so much that you have nothing left to give. - Do you look good on the outside but are empty on the inside? - Have the Pressures of life left you feeling thirsty for something more? - Something that is lasting and satisfying? - Jesus speaks to anyone who is thirsty and says, "Come to me!" - verse 38 explains, "When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him." - When you accept Jesus Christ into your life, He places His Spirit in you. - But that does not mean you are "filled" with His Spirit. - It's very easy to get busy and caught up with life that you begin to ignore His Spirit in you. - So why not ask Him to fill you with His Spirit? - You will never quench that thirst by... - doing more - achieving more - accomplishing more - getting that persons approval - Your thirst is a spiritual thirst that can only be quenched by His Spirit. - Romans 8:11 (MSG) says this, "If the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's! - Come to Him and let Him breathe life into the dead places in your life. - Come and be revived. - Come and let "Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of you." - Come this morning, come today, don't wait...come and get filled up. - Be refreshed and renewed. - Have a great Wednesday! "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you." (James 4:7, 8 NIV)
- Do you know that you are as close to God as you want to be. - James 4:8 says, Come near to God and HE WILL come near to you. - Not "He might" or "He could"... It says "He Will" - The condition is that you come Near first. - Part of coming close to God is that we Humble ourselves. - To Humble yourself means that you must remove all pride. - Quit trying to be self sufficient and think that your way is best. - Allow God to direct your way. - Allow Him to be Lord. - Trust that where He is leading you is best. - Don't complain every time you go through difficulties...He may be allowing them so that you become less reliant on your self and learn to totally rely on Him. - God is more concerned about your Character than your Comfort! - In James 4:8, it continues by saying that in order to come close to God, we must "Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world." - If you are going to be close to Him, you've got to realize that you have a God who is Holy living on the inside of you. - We are given a command in 1 Peter 1:16, God says, "Be holy because I am Holy." - We can only do that by relying on His Grace and His power. - you've got to humble yourself, because there is no way you can do that on your own. - Your loyalty has to be 100% for God. - You can't try to live part of your life for God and part of your life trying to be accepted by the world. - It can't be divided ...Your identity must be IN Him. - James 4:4 gets right to the point and says," You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God." - That's some strong language..."Adulterers", but that's exactly what we are when we choose anything or anyone over God. - Choose to draw close to Him today, but realize that there may be some things that you need to lose or get rid of when you do that. - You must be single-minded. - Prov. 3: 5-6 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." - Trust in Him with all your heart. - Seek His will in all you do. - When you do that He will lead you in the Best way! - He always leads you and directs you into The Best! - Make the decision today to Come close to Him. - Don't let anything stand in the way. - Have a great Tuesday! "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)
- Do you know that God wants your thought life? - He wants you to completely FIX your mind on Him and His Love for you. - Your mind is the number one way that the devil tries to defeat Gods children. - If He can get you to doubt Gods love for you and Gods plan for you, then he can defeat you. - Your enemy wants you to live in fear and keep you thinking "what will happen to me?" - But when you fix your mind on Christ, and you realize who you are in Him and how much He loves you, you realize there is nothing that can harm you. - Romans 8:38 -39 says that you can be "convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." - When you grab hold of the full revelation of Gods love for you, it transforms you...It gives you Perfect Peace! - Perfect Peace is a "Constant Peace" - Peace through all things and in all things. - Constant peace because you Know that there is nothing that the enemy can do to touch you. - God wants you to turn over your doubts and fears to Him. - Commit yourself to Him - Lean on Him - Put your Hopes confidently in Him, because... - If you give Him your thoughts and your complete life, He promises to keep you. - To "keep" means that God will guard you and protect you. - He will fight for you. - He will defeat your enemy! - You are now a Victor in Christ and no longer a victim to your circumstances. - You are above your circumstances not beneath them. - You have a New Hope for today. - Rom. 8:37 says you "are more than conquerors through him who loved us." - Conquerors are confident. - Conquerors are secure. - Conquerors are Bold! - Have a great Monday! "I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.' Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. ( Isaiah 41:10 MSG)
- Stop worrying! - There are some people who wake up worrying and go to bed worrying about things that they cannot control... - If that is you ...Stop it! - Here is one simple fact to focus on today - God is in control! - No matter what you face or what comes against you - God is in control! - It is so true, and yet so easy to forget. - In Matt. 6:27 Jesus says, "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" - Jesus goes on to talk about the birds of the air and how God takes care of their needs. - He says in Matt6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" - Jesus always points out how valuable you are to God. - He reminds you of your worth. - So if God is in control, and you are extremely valuable, then there is no need to worry. - In Isaiah 41:10, He reminds His people that He is with them! - Regardless of the circumstance you find yourself in today, He is with you! - Rom. 8:31 says, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" - In Isaiah 41, He tells His people, "I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you." - He's Got it! - Whatever the "it" is, He's got it! - He has all the power you need! - Don't wear yourself out with worry. - In 2 Tim. 1:7 it says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." - A few verses before in in Isaiah 41:4, God makes this powerful statement, "Who has done such mighty deeds, summoning each new generation from the beginning of time? It is I, the LORD, the First and the Last. I alone am he.” - That's a slam dunk verse right there! - He's the first and the last. - There was nothing before Him. - He created it all. - He alone is God, Creator and Sustainer of all things and you are valuable to Him. - There is no need to worry because He is in control! - You are safe - In Him! - You are secure In Him! - Have a great Weekend! |
