- It's interesting that the Apostle Paul says, "Let the Peace...Rule"
- "Let" means that it is something that you have to allow.
- You have a choice!
- Today, You can allow chaos and confusion to rule your life or you can allow Peace to rule.
- What have you allowed to rule you?
- What have you opened the door of your heart to?
- The Amplified version says, "let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds]"
- I love how it says "umpire"
- An umpire call the shots...an umpire makes the final decision.
- All day today, questions will rise up in your mind.
- Questions of doubt and fear or questions of trusting in God.
- Let peace act as the Umpire.
- Make the choice, in advance, to let the Peace of Christ to rule you.
- Let His Peace dominate your thoughts and actions.
- Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth."
- It begins with what you set your mind on.
- If you set your mind on the fact that "your life is hidden With Christ in God."(v.3) then peace will rule your heart.
- But if you set your mind the economy, your problems, fear or anxiety, (things of this earth), then those things will rule your heart.
- Today, train your mind.
- Train it to dwell on thoughts of victory.
- Train it to focus on a Risen Savior.
- Train it to be fixed on a Conquering King!
- Continually, train your mind all throughout the day to return to who Christ is and the Power and authority that He has given you.
- Today, the thing that you set your mind on will rule you and umpire your heart.
- Isaiah 26:3 says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."
- Who lives in Perfect Peace?
- The person who's mind is stayed on The Lord.
- The person who's mind is Fixed on Him and His greatness.
- That person can be you.
- You can live in perfect peace today!
- The choice is yours.
- Now, go and be thankful for the Perfect Peace that He has already given you even before the day has started.
- Have a great Thursday!
