- Take courage this morning - Jesus is with you!
- Whatever you face, He faces with You.
- In Matthew 14, the disciples are in a boat; the boat Jesus told them to get into.
- it's about 3:00 a.m., and they are "beaten and tossed by the waves, for the wind was against them." (v.24)
- And Jesus comes walking along in the water.
- Do you ever feel like you have been beaten and tossed by your problems?
- Does it feel like they are coming at you from every angle?
- Does it ever feel like everything is against you?
- Maybe you are in the "boat" Jesus told you to get into.
- You are doing what you think you are supposed to be doing, but the problems keep increasing.
- The disciples felt that way...and when they saw Jesus, which looked to them like a ghost, they we even more terrified.
- But then comes this verse...
- "Jesus spoke to them at once."
- Another translation says, "instantly"
- Jesus sees what you are going through.
- He knows what you are facing, He understands your difficulty.
- Allow Him to speak a word to you this morning.
- His voice changes everything.
- His words are filled with the Peace you need to calm every storm.
- He says "Take Courage" and He gives the reason, "I Am Here."
- Once He spoke, their focus became Him.
- Peter even steps out to accomplish a little walking on water himself.
- The point is this - when you see Jesus, who He really is, it puts your problems in perspective.
- Allow Him to speak to your heart this morning.
- Whatever has captured your attention and put fear in your heart, Jesus wants to speak "at once".
- He wants to come to you Instantly.
- Today, He says, “Take Courage, I Am Here!"
- Philippians 4:7 says this, "Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
- Allow His peace to guard your heart and Mind...as you live in Him.
- Have a great Wednesday!
