- As soon as their feet touched the water!
- God had given the instructions, through Joshua, to the children of Israel that the path to the promise was through the Jordan River!
- Through the river during flood season...seemingly impossible!
- But the priests had to take the first step.
- They had to step into the water if they were going to see the miracle.
- God was demonstrating that it was ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty." (Zech.4:6)
- The path to His promise may have been confusing or seemingly impossible but they had to trust Him and take the first step.
- They had to take the first step before they would see the miracle.
- They had to take that step before they would ever experience the great victory at Jericho.
- They had to take the first step before they would ever move into the land He promised.
- What is the step that God is asking you to take?
- Is it a step of forgiveness?
- Is it a step of of trust?
- Is it a step to reach out to someone?
- Is it at school or at work?
- Is it to take the next step in your relationship with Christ?
- Has He placed a dream in your heart that now requires the next step?
- Maybe the step is to begin praising Him even before you see the deliverance.
- The path to His Promise for you will require that first step...
- Many times a step into the unknown.
- A step into the questionable.
- A step into the ridiculous!
- But that one step makes all the difference.
- It's a step of Faith!
- That step will require you to put absolute trust in your God who says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you." (Isaiah 43:2)
- Today, Write down the step that you feel God is calling you to.
- Begin praying daily over that step and ...
- Trust God with the first step!
- Have a great Friday!
