- As a Christian your life should be filled with joy.
- One of the signs that something is wrong is that you have lost your joy.
- In Psalm 51, David had been confronted by the prophet Nathan after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband murdered.
- David's sin had separated him from God and as a result, His joy was gone.
- His life was filled with guilt and remorse.
- But the amazing thing is that our God is a God who restores!
- Regardless of the sin, if you are willing to repent and turn from your sin, God will restore.
- Don't ever let your sin define you.
- The is no sin to great, that He cannot forgive.
- David could have stopped there and given up and focused on how bad he had messed us.
- Instead, he turned to God, and after repenting, he focused on the God who restores.
- He received God's forgiveness.
- Our God specializes in restoring the broken.
- Only He can put the pieces back together.
- Only He can replace what you have lost.
- If you have lost your joy this morning, it is a sign that something is wrong.
- Ask God to reveal where you have lost it.
- Return to Him and He will return to you.
- In Malachi 3:7, The Lord says, "Now return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies."
- It requires you to make the first move and then He will move towards you.
- In Psalms 51:7, David says, "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."
- Whiter than snow....better than ever ... Pure!
- Totally Clean and in right standing with God.
- Don't go around carrying that guilt and weight one more day.
- When you receive His restoration, God says, you are Holy!
- Regardless of what anyone else says, God says you are clean!
- Make the choice today to repent, and return to the joy of your salvation.
- Be healed in Jesus name!
- Have a party because your joy has been restored!
- Let His joy define you!
- Have a great Thursday!
