(1Chronicles 16:8)
- Have the people around you, everyday, at work, school or neighborhood heard about God's greatness?
- Have they heard it from you?
- Or do they just hear about the usual complaints that everyone else has?
- As a Christian, there is nothing usual or normal about complaining.
- If you are complaining, you have taken your eyes off of Gods greatness and you are limiting His ability to work.
- Have you ever thought, that maybe one of the reasons people don't know about God is because they don't hear it from you.
- Use today as an opportunity to tell everyone, everywhere about God's greatness.
- Let them hear and see God at work all around them.
- Let them hear it from you.
- A great way to get out of a spiritual drought or depression is to begin thanking The Lord for who He is and what He has done.
- Instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus on what you do have.
- One of the things you've been given is a voice and lungs to praise Him.
- Remember all the ways He has shown up in your life.
- Talk about His character and who He is.
- Make a list of the top 10 ways He has blessed your life.
- As you do this, it takes your focus off of you and directs everyone's attention to Him.
- verse 9 says, "Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds."
- "Tell Everyone!" - that means you have an incredible opportunity in front of you.
- As you begin to sing and praise, it begins to spread to others.
- It's contagious!
- It changes the spiritual climate and atmosphere around you.
- It brings real Hope.
- He is a great God and deserves your praise continually.
- When you choose to complain it shrinks His greatness.
- 1 Chronicles 16:11 says, "Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD. Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him."
- Continually means everywhere and at all times!
- Use this great opportunity in front of you today.
- Have a great Thursday!
