PHILIPPIANS 4:9 AMP
- This is our final devotional for our 21 days of Prayer and fasting.
- That doesn't mean that you don't have to pray anymore, on the contrary, I hope you created a prayer habit and built a routine.
- We called this time of prayer and fasting "Pray First", based on Philippians 4:6 which says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
- We need to pray First Thing, Last Thing and for Everything in between.
- In other words, at all times!
- Then the apostle Paul says, The things that you have "seen in me, practice these things [in daily life]".
- What an amazing statement!
- He is saying that your prayers should change you.
- As you pray, it will change your mindset, your life and your actions!
- Once you Pray it, then Live it!
- He is telling everyone that His actions match His words.
- He is saying, "watch me and examine me!"
- How many of us can say that?
- Are you following Jesus so closely that you now resemble Him?
- Can you tell others, imitate me as I imitate Christ?
- Has your relationship with Christ changed the way that you think, the way that you talk and the way that you act?
- That should be our goal!
- Our prayer life should lead us to an encounter with Jesus' presence and His presence should completely transform our mind and actions.
- We then take His presence with us where ever we go.
- Bottom line is that His presence should change you!
- At the end of this 21 day fast you should not even resemble the person you were at the beginning because of His presence.
- In 2 Cor. 5:17, Paul says, "that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
- So as you finish out these 21 days of prayer and fasting, Live out the new life that you have in Christ.
- Think new faith filled thoughts!
- Speak out about the blessings of God!
- Take new bold steps of faith.
- Live out your God given dreams because you know that the God of peace is with you.”
- Have a great weekend!
