"And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness." (James 3: 18 NLT)
- What are you planting?
- Are you planting seeds of peace or seeds of disunity and disorder?
- Look around you at home, work, school.
- What follows you? Is it gossip and disorder or is it peace and unity.
- Do you have a tendency to focus on the negative or see the good in others and situations?
- Do you sit and listen to gossip or do you go out of your way to heal and repair relationships that are broken?
- Are you the one who goes the extra mile to lay down your pride and forgive ...even when something has been done against you? Or do you hold onto your resentment and grudge?
- Remember, Jesus said: "But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matt.6:15)
- Here is a test to see if you have Godly wisdom.
- Check out James 3:17 which says, "But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. "
- Go through this verse and see if there are areas you need to work on.
- Are you Pure and undefiled?
- Are you peace loving?
- Are you courteous, considerate of others and gentle?
- Are you willing to yield to reason?
- Are you full of compassion and good deeds?
- Are you wholehearted and straightforward?
- Are you free of doubts and insincerety?
- James 3:13 says this, "If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom."
- In other words don't just talk about it - Live it!
- Be the person who plants seeds of peace.
- You will reap a harvest of righteousness.
- The harvest will appear in your life.
- You will see it in your family, friends, work, school...
- The harvest will be evident all around you!
- Have a great Tuesday!
