- This is a new year... a chance for a fresh start, a new beginning, a clean slate!
- But real newness starts with the "if" at the beginning of the verse.
- "If" Anyone...
- The free gift of salvation - your sins forgiven, being washed clean and having a new beginning
- This gift is for "Anyone" and "Everyone" who receives it.
- That "Anyone" must be "In Christ".
- Don't let anyone point out "who you were”
- Don’t let your mind pull up all of your past
- Don’t let your enemy whisper in your ear that “you can never change”
- What matters is "who you are".
- It's not about "what you did"; it's about "what He is doing" in you!
- Your life becomes new when you surrender your life to Christ and He lives through you.
- Galatians 2:20 say, "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
- It doesn't matter what your past looks like.
- What matters is the decision you make in the "Present".
- As you set goals for this new year, it is important to set them in light of who You are and not who you were.
- Who cares about what you didn't do or didn't achieve or succeed at in the past.
- The only one who reminds you of what you didn't do or didn't accomplish is Satan. He is known as "the Accuser of brothers & sisters". (Rev. 12:10)
- When you give your life to Christ and allow Him to live through you; Jesus declares you New!
- Set new goals this year based on who you are!
- Don't set any limitations!
- Philip. 4:13 says, "I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."
- Make a huge impact this year because you are "In Him" and His power is "In you".
- Have a great Monday!
