- Today is national day of prayer.
- It's a great day wait patiently and Expectantly on The Lord!
- It's a great day to fast & pray.
- A day to trust in Him for the answer.
- To wait patiently does not mean that you are sitting and doing nothing.
- Praying and fasting is part of waiting.
- Through prayer we need to wait on Him and expect!
- Expect what? Expect His answer.
- Expect His solution.
- Expect His deliverance.
- Expect His best.
- He knows your needs but He wants to hear your voice.
- Fasting and praying is being completely sold out to His purpose and His way.
- It's taking your hands off the problem and letting God have complete control.
- It's closing your mouth on your situation and problem to others and only speaking them to God.
- Not gossiping and complaining to others.
- Only speaking praying and seeking God.
- The Psalmist David says, "He inclined and heard."
- verse 2 says, "He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings."
- Just like David, He will bring you out of your situation.
- he will set your feet on a Rock.
- You will be secure and confident.
- He will establish everywhere you place your feet.
- His hand of blessing will be on you.
- Remember, you wait by praying and fasting and He brings you out and establishes your way.
- You have a part and He has a part.
- Let Him do it!
- Sometimes the most difficult part is letting go, but you have to surrender every part of your life and every situation to God if you are going to receive His best.
- Let Go!
- Verse 3 goes on to say, "He will give you a new song to sing" and "Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in The Lord." (NLT)
- Your new song is your praise!
- Your patience in waiting for God and receiving His best will result in the salvation of others.
- Expect victory from God during this day of prayer.
- Have a great Thursday!
