- Mercy is not getting what you deserve.
- It is punishment that is withheld.
- Ephesians 2:4 says, "God is so rich in mercy"
- This means He is full of mercy, His mercy does not run out. There is no limit to His mercy.
- You cannot exhaust His mercy.
- In Ephesians 4:5-6 it says that "He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus."
- Because of sin you deserve separation from God.
- You don't deserve to be in His presence because He is a Holy God.
- You deserve death.
- Instead, He offers you life through His Son Jesus Christ.
- He united you with Him.
- He seated you with Him in Heaven.
- That is your current condition.
- In Psalm 116 it says, "he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy."
- He bends down and listens to you.
- He hears your voice.
- In Psalm 136 there are 26 verses and each verse ends with, "His mercy endures forever."
- 26 times it says "His mercy endures forever."
- He is making a point.
- You can't wear out God's mercy.
- Thank Him this morning for His mercy.
- Receive it because it's already yours.
- It's part of His covenant with you.
- Walk in His mercy.
