- In Leviticus we have the sacrificial system that set up and ordained by God.
- It was placed at the very center and heart of Jewish national life.
- The sacrifices pointed to Jesus and they were fulfilled in Him when He became a living sacrifice for our sin on the cross.
- God said, never let the fire go out.
- Each morning the priest would add fresh wood to the fire.
- How about you?
- Have you let the fire of your relationship with God dim?
- Has your passion for his presence go out?
- Remember when you were "On Fire" for Him!
- Excited to get in the Word and pray?
- Remember when you believed that you could do ALL things through Christ!
- In 2 Tim. 1:6 Paul says, "I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you..."
- in this letter, the apostle Paul was reminding Timothy of something that was very important.
- Timothy had to do it.
- It was his job to do, no one else could do it for Him.
- Just like the Priest had to put fresh wood on the fire every day.
- Today, rekindle your fire!
- Nothing is worth letting it go out!
- It's the most important thing!
- no one can do it for you.
- This is your responsibility.
- Get in the Word again!
- Seek God again!
- Become completely dependent on Him.
- Make Him first.
- Just Do It!
- Have a great Thursday!
