- Yesterday, my son had a bad head injury and I had to rush him to the hospital for treatment.
- When the injury occurred, I was right there and it was a good opportunity to freak out but I knew that if I did, then everyone else around me would freak out, so I couldn’t.
- There I was, calm on the outside, but when I looked at the blood and injury, I was freaking out on the inside.
- In that moment, I knew what I needed.
- I needed Jesus’ Peace.
- His peace that comes by His presence.
- If I invite Him into the middle of the problem, He brings His Peace.
- It’s a gift that He gives us.
- And He says that this gift is “peace of mind and heart.”
- That is exactly what I needed!
- So I simply invite Him and His presence into the middle of the craziness and I receive His free gift of Peace which He has already offered.
- That changes the atmosphere of a place.
- It could have been chaos and confusion but I chose peace and calmness.
- And because I was at peace, it was reflected in my sons attitude and He was at peace.
- When you face tragedy or times of uncertainty, remember that Jesus has given you His Peace.
- The peace that the world gives is temporary.
- The world gives a short term escape from mental or emotional trouble.
- It simply won't last.
- The world says, “Take this pill, substance, drink or escapism and that will be your Peace.”
- But it’s not, it’s a substitute and it’s temporary.
- It doesn’t deal with the real issue.
- Jesus gives you lasting Peace in the face of the storm.
- Jesus says, "I am leaving you with a gift."...In other words, it is always there.
- He hasn't taken it away.
- It's Permanent.
- As you face trouble and confusion, ask for and receive His Peace.
- Receive His Peace of mind which will free you from worry and fear.
- His Peace of mind will deliver you from anxiety.
- His Peace of heart will keep you steady and secure through all adversity.
- Phil. 4:7 says, "You will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
- His Peace exceeds!
- It exceeds anything you are facing.
- It is greater than any difficulty.
- It is more powerful than any perceived fear.
- Don’t allow yourselves to be agitated and disturbed!
- Don't let your faith be shaken due to your circumstances.
- Don't let fear enter the door of your heart.
- Don't become unsettled.
- Phil. 4:7 says that you find this kind of Peace "as you live in Christ Jesus."
- As you Live in Him...
- As you focus on Him.
- As you trust in Him.
- That's the key...Focus on Him.
- Let Jesus become your focus not the problem.
- Then it says that He will "Guard your hearts and minds."
- To guard means to protect.
- He will protect your heart and mind.
- You do your part: Live in Christ & Focus on your relationship with Him.
- He will do His part: Protect and guard your heart and mind.
- It's a Peace that you will not find anywhere else.
- There is nothing that can compare to His Peace.
- His Peace Exceeds!
- Have a great Tuesday!
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."(John 14:27 NLT)
