- In 2 Chronicles 20, the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites had declared war on King Jehoshaphat.
- Jehoshaphat was a good king who feared The Lord.
- Upon hearing the news that these armies were coming against him, he was terrified but verse 3 shows his response.
- "Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance. He also ordered everyone in Judah to begin fasting. So people from all the towns of Judah came to Jerusalem to seek the Lord ’s help." (2 Chron. 20:3)
- Before all the people, Jehoshaphat cried out to The Lord, "He prayed, “O Lord, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!"
- In verse 9 he said to the Lord, "We can cry out to you to save us, and you will hear us and rescue us.’
- Jehoshaphat realized that no matter how great the problem was - his God was greater.
- He knew that if he cried out to God, that God would rescue him.
- What are you dealing with today?
- Is it a sickness?
- Is it debt?
- Is it work or school?
- Is it a relationship?
- Is it a problem that you don't have the answer to?
- Do you feel powerless?
- The greatest question is, "How big is your God?"
- Is He great enough to provide for your debt?
- Is He great enough to heal the sickness?
- Is He big enough to overcome your greatest doubt?
- Is He Big enough to meet your deepest need?
- If you really believe that He is Bigger, Greater and more powerful than all that all that stuff - Then pray like it!
- When you pray, you take the problem out of your hands and put it in God's hands.
- You let go of your limited ability and turn It over to His Unlimited Ability!
- You put it in the hands of the one who Created all things by His word!
- He spoke and it came into existence.
- Today, ask God for his perspective.
- Begin to see your circumstances through His eyes.
- Realize that the battle is not yours, but God's!
- Have a great Wednesday!
