- Do you remember how you felt when you First Believed?
- Do you remember the excitement, and the Joy?
- Do you remember when your life was filled with Faith and you had a great anticipation of what God was going to do?
- If not, then return to your first Love.
- This verse says that we are to trust God as firmly as when we First Believed!
- If something has changed, it hasn't been God.
- Your faith needs to remain just as great.
- Your convictions need to remain just as strong.
- Are you still amazed by Him and His Greateness?
- Are you still in awe of His Power and Love?
- In the book of Revelation Jesus gives a message to the church of Ephesus.
- They were a hard working church that had persevered through hardship and had not grown weary.
- But Jesus had this against them, "You have forsaken the love you had at first."
- His command to them is this, "Repent and do the things you did at first."
- Just like Hebrews says, "trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed."
- examine your love relationship with Jesus this morning.
- Is it as strong?
- If not, why not?
- Has your love been worn down by doing?
- have you become to busy?
- Or have you been discouraged by difficulties and hardships?
- The most important thing is that you Love Him and that you know His love.
- Lam. 3:22 says, "The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."
- Ask yourself, "Would I want God to be as faithful to me as I have been to Him?"
- Return to Him.
- He will never turn you away.
- James 4:8 says, "Come close to God, and God will come close to you."
- Hebrews says, "if we are faithful to the end.. we will share in all that belongs to Christ."
- All that belongs to Christ will belong to you.
- You will walk in His authority and power.
- Eternal life will be yours.
- Return to Him, this morning.
- Fall in love with Jesus all over again.
- Have a great Tuesday!
