- What do you want Jesus to do for you?
- What a powerful question!
- It's a question that demands a response.
- In Mark 10 there is a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, who is sitting along the roadside.
- Verse 47 says that, "When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
- When He cried out it says, that "those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
- And then Jesus asks Bartimaeus this powerful question...
- "What do you want me to do for you?"
- Isn't it obvious to Jesus?
- Of course, but Jesus needs to hear it from Bartimaeus.
- Does he have faith that Jesus can heal Him?
- Does he dare ask?
- Don't overlook the obvious needs in your life.
- Don't be afraid to ask
- In Matthew 9:29 Jesus heals two blind men and says to them, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
- Jesus wants you to be specific.
- He wants to see and here your faith.
- When your Faith lines up with His ability there is Power!
- It's simple math...
- Your Faith + His Ability = Power
- In Mark 10:52 Jesus says to Bartimaeus, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus."
- YOUR FAITH has made you well.
- Your faith, not in your ability but in His ability.
- His ability has always been the same and it is available.
- So that means you have to look at your faith.
- Do you have faith in His willingness and ability to meet your deepest and most obvious need?
- Be specific with Jesus.
- Write it down.
- Write it down, speak it, pray it and be specific.
- There is nothing to big or small.
- And if someone tells you to stop praying for that or tells you that is ridiculous - then take a lesson from Bartimaeus and pray all the Louder.
- Be specific today!
- Have a great Wednesday!
