- Are you available for God?
- When God came to test Abraham's Faith, He called Him by name.
- When God called, Abraham was listening, and not only listening but ready and willing to obey.
- He was available.
- Abraham said, "Yes...Here I am.”
- It all begins with a relationship.
- In John 15:5 Jesus describes it this way, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."
- You have to be connected to Him.
- Hearing from Him is vital in your relationship.
- Apart from Him you can do nothing.
- Abraham's availability lead Him to God's ability!
- He first had to hear God before he would be able to experience God's miracle.
- Once He heard from God, he then had the ability to act and obey.
- How is your hearing, today?
- When was the last time you really heard from Him?
- You will never be able to experience God working through you in a powerful way if you don't know how to hear from Him.
- God wants you to be in a place to hear because He has so much that He wants to reveal to you.
- Psalm 25:14 says, "The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant."
- He is a friend and He teaches.
- Any good friendship requires communication.
- He wants to speak His promises to you, but few are listening.
- We have everything we could possibly ever want.
- We have iPods, computers, iPads, TV's, video games, cell phones, email, Facebook, Twitter...
- All of these are great but they can all compete for your time and hinder your ability to "Hear".
- Take some time this week to "get away" with God.
- Slow things down a little.
- Turn things off for a period of time...and listen.
- Open your Bible, it's His love letter to you.
- He wants to whisper His Promises to you.
- He wants to speak His Unconditional love into your life.
- He wants to Reveal His plan for you.
- Are you available?
- Are you listening?
- Have a Great Thursday!
"Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called. "Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.” (Genesis 22:1 NLT)
