- What Talents, skills and abilities have you been given?
- Everything you have is a gift from God and we are held accountable for what we do with it.
- In this story, Jesus gives an example of a Nobleman who was called away to a distant land to be crowned King.
- Before he leaves, he gathers together "his servants together and divided among them ten pounds of silver, saying, ‘Invest this for me while I am gone.’ "(Luke 19:13)
- Upon returning he has them give an account.
- The first one made 10xs the amount.
- The The next made 5xs the amount
- The Third servant did nothing but hid what he had been given and brought back the original amount.
- He was driven by fear and hid his silver.
- Because of this, The king calls him a "wicked servant"
- So here's the point: Look at what you have.
- What skills, abilities and gifts do you have that you have NOT been using.
- What have you been hiding because of fear?
- Fear of failure ...fear of what people think...Or fear of rejection.
- What good does it do if you don't use what you've got?
- You are uniquely designed and gifted by God.
- He created every part of you for a purpose..
- Psalm 139:13 says, "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it."
- You are not an accident.
- You are created with purpose and for a purpose!
- Eph. 2:10 says, "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
- You are a masterpiece! And so are all of your gifting's - Big and small.
- Decide, today, to use what you've got.
- Simply say to God, "Here I am, use me."
- And then look around you and see what opportunities begin to present themselves.
- The is nothing to small or big.
- "Those who use well what they are given, even more will be given."
- As you begin to use what you've got, you will watch God expand and grow that ability.
- You will be blessed far greater than you can imagine!
- Have a great Wednesday!
