- Have you made room for God's Word in your life?
- This verse says that we must accept Gods Word but right before that it says we must get rid of moral filth and evil in our lives.
- In verse 20 it says we must get rid of anger.
- Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. (James 1:20)
- We must get these things out in order to make room for Gods Word.
- Eph. 4:22 says we must, "throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy."
- You've got to "throw off". Your old nature and you old way of thinking, speaking and acting and "Put on" your new nature.
- Both cannot co-exist at the same time.
- 2 Cor. 6:14 says, "How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?"
- Get rid of the old for the new and better!
- Let Gods Word change you.
- Heb 4:12 says, "The word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword..."
- Gods Word is Alive and it will change you if you let it!
- James 1:22 says we have to do more than read it..."don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves."
- Make room for it, get it in you, and live it out!
- Let His Word strengthen you this morning.
- Let His Word build your Faith.
- All of Gods promises, in His Word, are true!
- Look at what 2 Cor. 1:20 says, "For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory."
- It says that all of Gods promises have already been fulfilled in Christ Jesus.
- That means that as you search out a promise in the Bible - it is yours!
- His Promises are for you!
- Get in God's Word today!
- Let Him speak to you through it.
- Let Him change you by it.
- Let Him shine through you with it throughout the rest of the day!
- Dig up the promises in it...it's like digging for Treasures!
- Have a great Tuesday
