- When you read the word of God or a devotional, is the goal to to hear a nice, pleasing "Word" or is it for Life Change.
- To "Commit Yourself" means to give yourself completely to "disciplined instruction"...work on it with all you've got!
- It's important!
- You should never be content to remain the way you are...The goal should always be a Changed Life.
- Col. 3:16 says, "Let the Word of Christ-the Message-have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives...Let every detail in your lives-words, actions, whatever-be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way."
- Examine yourself, each morning, and ask yourself, "What in me needs to change, and what steps am I going to take, "TODAY", to make it happen.
- To often we hear a challenging "Word" and we say to ourselves, "I need to change.", but we don't take the step and the "Word Spoken" has little effect and goes forgotten.
- A pattern can happen in our lives where we look for encouraging or challenging "words" and do nothing about it, and in the end leave us deceived.
- Let God have full run of your life this morning!
- Examine your words, your actions, your attitude, your thoughts...can you say that all of them have been done in the Name of Jesus.
- If not, then what needs to change?
- Act on it...don't deceive yourself any longer...make the change!
- Romans 8:29 says, "He (God) decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son."
- Rom. 12:2 says, "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think."
- The goal is change!
- Jesus doesn't want to leave you the way you are...He loves you to much!
- He came to free you from the chains of the past. To free you from old patterns, behaviors and attitudes that have kept you trapped far to long.
- Surrender yourself completely to Him and ask for His power to help you to make the changes that are the most difficult.
- As you read this, don't think about someone else who needs it, think about yourself.
- Say, "What is it in ME that needs to change, Today?"
- Decide in your heart what it is...
- Now, Write it down!
- Now, HOW? ...How are you going to do it? What steps are you going to take?
- Write down the steps...do it!
- Don't leave all the work to Jesus. He will Give you strength and power but you've got to be the one to use it!
- You have to be the one who moves your feet!
- This is a "Take Action" word today!
- Have a great Weekend!
