- Have you ever felt helpless?
- Out of resources?
- Empty?
- To be helpless means that you have nothing left to turn to.
- You are not physically strong enough.
- You are emotionally wasted.
- You are financially tapped out.
- And spiritually you are drained!
- Empty!
- Physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually empty!
- That's what it means to feel helpless.
- And an orphan is someone who has no family to reach out to or fall back on for support.
- But the good news is that when you are Helpless, you have a Helper.
- In John 14:26, Jesus tells us that He is leaving us with a helper. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
- This means, are not alone!
- God loved you so much that He saw your helplessness apart from Him and gave you a permanent Helper.
- He said, in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
- Permanent...Never alone!
- You are not helpless, because you have a Helper!
- If you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior, your Helper lives and dwells on the inside of you.
- The Holy Spirit is also known as the Spirit of Truth.
- John 16:13 says, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth."
- He will guide you in the right way. He gives you direction.
- The Holy Spirit is known as your Advocate, Comforter, Helper, and Counselor.
- That means that He speaks on your behalf and defends you.
- He comforts you and gives you hope when you feel hopeless.
- He helps you, so that you can say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?" (Heb. 13:6)
- And He counsels you when you are confused and need wisdom and direction and guidance.
- So, no matter where you find yourself today, know that you are not Helpless...You have a constant companion, a Helper.
- Turn to Him, today!
- God bless you, have a great Thursday!
"...The helpless put their trust in you. You defend the orphans.” Psalms 10:14
