- Be careful where you place your eyes and what you choose to focus on.
- This verse is Caleb's response to the people after exploring the promised land for 40 days.
- The rest of the spies, that went with Joshua & Caleb, saw the situation as impossible.
- They viewed it as, "We can't win!"
- In Numbers 14:4 it says, "Then they plotted among themselves, “Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!”
- But Joshua and Caleb viewed the situation completely different.
- They viewed the situation as this: "If God is with us, We cannot lose!"
- They were the minority.
- The majority said, "We can't win." And the minority said, "We can't lose."
- Why such a difference?
- It is all based on what they focused on.
- The others put their eyes on the situation.
- Joshua & Caleb put their eyes on The Lord.
- The Lord had protected them, provided food for them and fulfilled every promise.
- The Lord had demonstrated His great power and might to deliver them.
- How about you?
- What are you looking at?
- Are you looking at your circumstances or are you looking at God's power?
- Are you listening to what everyone else thinks or are you listening to the still small voice of God?
- Do you know His ways?
- Are you filled with His Promises?
- Are you trusting In The Unseen even when everyone else says to trust in what you can see?
- Are you Believing in His faithfulness even when facing crazy circumstances.
- Can you have faith in His power even in the face of fear?
- Rom. 8:31 says, "If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"
- How would you answer that question?
- Today, put your eyes on The Lord and His might and take your eyes off your circumstances.
- Make the decision to look directly at Him.
- God is for you!
- Have a great weekend!
