- What does success look like to you, today?
- Have you asked for success?
- If you don't know what success looks like then you may not even recognize it when you have it.
- Success is when you accomplish everything that The Lord has planned for you.
- Not what He has planned for someone else, but what He has planned for you.
- But you have to be connected to Him and looking to Him in order for Him to speak His plans to you.
- In this story, Abraham sent his servant to go to his homeland and find a wife for his son Isaac and then she had to be willing to come back with him.
- The servant knew exactly what his master wanted him to do and he set out to do it.
- Then the servant prayed for success and he prayed specifically.(v.14)
- In Jer. 29:11, God says to His people, the Israelites, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
- Just like God had plans for them, God has plans for you.
- If you have given your life to Christ, then you are His child, and God has plans for you.
- He has given you unique gifts and abilities that He wants to use.
- Your job is to look to Him and listen to Him and use those gifts to accomplish the plans that He has for you.
- He wants you to succeed today, but have you asked Him for success.
- He has people that He wants to reach, touch, restore and heal through you.
- He Has a unique assignment for you... But are you to consumed with problems and distractions?
- This morning, ask God what He has planned today.
- Look to Him and then join Him in that plan.
- And one last thing... If you don't know how to find God's plan, look what Joshua 1:8 says, "Study this Book of Instruction continually (The Bible) Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8 NLT)
- Study it continually, it is your guidebook for success.
- Don't think that you can accomplish His work apart from His Word.
- Success = Get in His Word + Do what it says.
- Have a great Thursday!
