- Keep watch!
- Jesus is returning.
- Are you ready for the return of Christ?
- verse 44 says, "You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected."
- Be ready all the time.
- In order to be ready, you must clean yourself up!
- 2 Tim. 3 tells us what people will be like in the last days.
- Check this out: "Don't be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They'll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they're animals. Stay clear of these people." (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
- A great way to be ready is to examine your life up against 2 Tim 3: 1-5.
- You would say, "Am I self-absorbed?"
- "Am I money-hungry?"
- "Am I self-promoting?"
- "Am I crude?" etc...And go all throughout that verse.
- James 1:21 has some great advice..."get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves."
- His Word has the Power to save your soul!
- Your Soul is the most important thing.
- Don't examine your life by comparing it to other people...
- Examine your life by putting it up against the Word of God.
- And like James 1 says, "don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says."
- Do it - put it into practice.
- Get rid of anything that stands in the way of your relationship with Christ.
- Make the changes that need to be made.
- Have a great Wednesday!
