- The woman in this story is referred to as "a certain immoral woman"
- Identified by her sin.
- There was no doubt to anyone or even herself that she was a sinner.
- I'm sure she felt the stares from the religious leaders.
- I'm sure she could hear their comments which made her feel even less valuable.
- She didn't have to guess what they were thinking.
- But she didn't let that stop her.
- She still approached Jesus.
- Verse 38 says, "Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them."
- It says she knelt behind him... Not even worthy enough to face him.
- She knew her sinful condition
- Then she kneels down and pours the most expensive perfume on Jesus' feet and wipes them with her hair.
- The unworthy one declares Him Worthy!
- And then He says to Her, "Your sins are forgiven."
- Powerful!
- A word that speaks Worth
- A word that speaks acceptance
- A word that speaks value.
- Do you know how much you have been forgiven of?
- Do you remember?
- Do you know how valuable you are?
- Whatever you do, don't let your sins stand in the way between you and Jesus.
- Don't let other people's thoughts and opinions prevent you from approaching the Savior.
- Today, approach Him...sinful, dirty and guilt ridden.
- Lose all of your pride
- Simply come before Him, kneel before Him... Lay it all out before Him.
- Let Him say to you, "your sins are forgiven."
- Know How valuable you are, today!
- Receive His forgiveness.
- Receive His acceptance.
- Receive His Love.
- He Loves you with an everlasting love.
- “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. (Isaiah 1:18)
- Receive His Forgiveness and live as one who has been forgiven of much.
- Extend His acceptance and forgiveness to others today!
- Have a great Thursday!
