- It’s the morning after the election.
- We have a new President.
- President Trump was put there by God.
- Romans 13:1 says that "all authority comes from God”
- ALL authority.
- Whether your candidate won or not, you have to see that God has placed Trump in this position of authority.
- God did not wake up this morning shocked at who won or who lost.
- God wasn’t saying, “what do I do now?”
- God put Him in position, just like our past Presidents.
- And if that’s true, then God has a purpose for him in that position.
- Just like, God has a purpose, right where you are in your position of leadership.
- All of us have some position of authority or leadership.
- Whether you are a mom or dad with kids or a you have small position at work where you lead 1 or 2 people.
- It could even be a position on a team.
- Wherever you are, and wherever you serve, God has a purpose.
- But look at what Romans 3:2 says, "So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted”
- If you work against those in authority, you are working against what God wants to do.
- We need to work with God not against God.
- And Romans 13:7 says that we are to "give respect and honor to those who are in authority.”
- Respect and honor means that we don’t slander and curse those in authority.
- If you desire to be honored and promoted in the position that you are in now, then learn to honor and respect those above you.
- Honor and respect those whom God has place in authority over you.
- When you respect them, you will be respected.
- When you learn to honor those in authority, you will be honored.
- Romans 12:14 says, "bless and do not curse.”
- Use the voice that you have been given to pray for this new President, he will need it.
- Honor him and pray for him that he will fulfill all that God has purposed.
- Pray that He will have the heart of a true leader.
- Pray that he will lead this country to be more unified, not divided.
- God bless you!
- Have a great Wednesday!
