Habakkuk 3:18 NLT
- This verse starts off with the word “yet”
- “Yet” I will rejoice.
- Habakkuk was just saying, in the previous verses, that even in the middle of God’s judgment on Judah that he would choose to rejoice.
- He said that even when his crops do not produce any crop, that he would still rejoice in the Lord.
- Many times we want to remove the “Yet”
- We want to rejoice and praise Him only when we can point to the obvious blessing or only when things are going good.
- But this verse is talking about when everything is bad.
- That’s why the “Yet” is powerful.
- Can you rejoice in the Lord even when things are bad?
- Rejoicing in the Lord is not about what He can do for you.
- It’s not about what you can “get”
- It’s about what you can “give”
- When you give Him praise, it lifts your mind and heart above your circumstances!
- It’s choosing to recognize that God is Greater than anything you are going through.
- It’s choosing to NOT let the enemy get the victory.
- Your praise confuses and defeats the enemy especially when things are bad.
- It’s choosing to say that I will live by faith and not by sight.
- It’s trusting in His Name and who you know Him to be.
- Rejoicing in the Lord is about recognizing who God is.
- In the midst of trials and difficulty, He is still your Savior and unfailing source of strength.
- Today, choose to praise Him for who He is!
- Recognize His Power and greatness.
- Thank Him for the very breath that you breath each and every moment.
- He is your Sustainer!
- Declare that he is your Healer even if you are still in need of Healing.
- Make the choice today to Rejoice and be joyful in God!
- Your choice has the ability to change your whole day!
- God bless you!
- Have a great Monday!
