- Are you prepared for the Lord's "Suddenly"?
- Here we find the shepherds on just another ordinary day.
- doing their job as usual ... Watching sheep, when suddenly!
- They weren't expecting an angelic appearance that day.
- They weren't looking for it.
- But when that Angel appeared, it changed the rest of their lives.
- The message that the angel gave was, "The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:11)
- Check out the shepherd's response..."the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. (Luke 2:15)
- When the "Suddenly" happened - they "Hurried"
- They hurried to see and then hurried to tell everyone what they had experienced!
- This Christmas, expect Christ to visit with you and change you.
- Don't expect an ordinary Christmas... Be prepared for the Extraordinary!
- A Christmas where you are changed!
- They experienced Him in a life changing way and so will you if you make yourself available.
- Don't get caught up in the business and pressure that the season sometimes brings.
- Don't let yourself miss the Christ of Christmas!
- Make yourself available for God to speak a word to your heart that will leave you changed.
- Look for Him and seek out His presence!
- Psalm 105:4 says, "Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him."
- Make this Christmas different...
- Let it begin, a continual seeking!
- A seeking to continually know Him and experience Him in a deeper way.
- And then go and tell everyone you come in contact with!
- I pray that like the Shepherds, you experience the Christ of Christmas!
- Have a great Tuesday!
