Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV
- Jeremiah is expressing deep sorrow over the fall of Jerusalem and the circumstances that brought it about.
- The children of Israel had not repented.
- They would not turn from their sin and now they were suffering the consequences.
- But in the middle of this, Jeremiah points out the Lords faithfulness.
- The Lord is good and merciful to everyone who turns from their way and turns to Him.
- For everyone who repents, there is forgiveness and healing.
- God’s compassion’s never fail!
- They are new every single day!
- His faithfulness is great and beyond our ability to measure.
- When we are unfaithful, he remains faithful!
- 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.”
- He is a faithful God... He remains faithful!
- Isn’t that amazing!
- 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
- All unrighteousness.
- Know this, today! Your sin is not to great for Him to forgive.
- The distance is not to far.
- So when you find yourself far from Him, don’t continue down that same path.
- Stop choosing your way and choose His way!
- He is waiting to embrace you, forgive you, cleanse you and restore you!
- Great is His Faithfulness!
- Jeremiah goes on to say,“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;” (3:25)
- When you seek after Him, you will find Him.
- James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
- Don’t let the distance between you and God remain.
- Make a move in His direction.
- He is still in the same place He has been with arms wide open, ready to forgive.
- Have a great Monday!
