- Do you feel drained and empty on the inside?
- Do you feel like you have given out so much that you have nothing left to give.
- Do you look good on the outside but are empty on the inside?
- Have the Pressures of life left you feeling thirsty for something more?
- Something that is lasting and satisfying?
- Jesus speaks to anyone who is thirsty and says, "Come to me!"
- verse 38 explains, "When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him."
- When you accept Jesus Christ into your life, He places His Spirit in you.
- But that does not mean you are "filled" with His Spirit.
- It's very easy to get busy and caught up with life that you begin to ignore His Spirit in you.
- So why not ask Him to fill you with His Spirit?
- You will never quench that thirst by...
- doing more
- achieving more
- accomplishing more
- getting that persons approval
- Your thirst is a spiritual thirst that can only be quenched by His Spirit.
- Romans 8:11 (MSG) says this, "If the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!
- Come to Him and let Him breathe life into the dead places in your life.
- Come and be revived.
- Come and let "Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of you."
- Come this morning, come today, don't wait...come and get filled up.
- Be refreshed and renewed.
- Have a great Weekend!
