- As we head into Thanksgiving, take some time this morning to Praise God and thank Him with ALL your heart.
- Thank Him for the little things in life that you normally overlook.
- We have been blessed with so much and most of the time we take our blessings for granted.
- Here is one simple example out of many that I could choose...
- When was the last time you thanked God for a clean drink of water?
- Do you know that 783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation.
- Do you know that 6 to 8 million people die annually from the consequences of water-related diseases?
- Now this isn’t meant to make you feel bad, but to show you how blessed you have been.
- How blessed and grateful were you the last time you took a drink of water?
- If you are like me, you probably didn’t even think of it.
- You probably took it for granted. Why? Because it’s so readily available.
- But just because something is so readily availble doesn’t mean that we should forget to be thankful.
- There are many places in our world who would feel so blessed and grateful to turn on a faucet and have clean water.
- Now think about the last time you complained because your water just wasn’t the right temperature or not cold enough.
- Do you know that when you complain about something, it robs you of the opportunity to thank?
- Water is just a simple example.
- Now, take note of every time that you complain.
- From the big things to the little things…even the silent complaints in your heart.
- Thank him for your bed.
- Thank Him for your clothes.
- Thank Him for the people all around you.
- Thank Him for the rain.
- Every time you think of complaining about something, flip it and thank God for something instead.
- Thank God that you have been given another day, another opportunity, another chance to Praise Him and point others to Him...That is a gift!
- Let that begin a habit in your life of continually thanking Him and being appreciative.
- Every day that you choose not to thank is actually robbing from God an opportunity to bring glory to His name and show His greatness to others.
- So, the main point…You don’t want to rob from God!
- When you have a heart that is thankful and grateful, it draws people to you and when you complain it repels people from you.
- As you choose to Thank & praise today, watch what it begins to do to your attitude and expectations!
- Begin to day with a whole new perspective.
- Happy day before Thansgiving!
