- This Monday morning, before you face any of the challenges ahead.
- Before any difficulties, struggles, temptations or roadblocks…
- Are you aware of what you have?
- Do you know that you are equipped by God and for God for a purpose.
- The purpose is to overcome!
- Not to be overcome by your circumstances but to overcome each and every one of them.
- You are specially crafted by God to do just that.
- In Ephesians 6:10, just before the apostle Paul writes about the armor of God, that we need to put on, He tells us what we have.
- He says, “Be strong”.
- Be strong is translated from a Greek work “endunamoo”.
- Endunamoo conveys the idea of being infused with an excessive dose of dynamic inner strength and ability.
- It’s a word that portrays “a power that is being deposited into something, such as a container or vessel.”
- In other words, you are the vessel and His Spirit is the Power.
- If you have given your life to Jesus Christ and made Him Lord and Savior, then you have the Spirit of God living in you!
- Romans 8:11 says, "The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”
- Ephesians 1:13 says, “You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.”
- He lives in you!
- All of that power is available to you today!
- This means that you don’t have to face your problems alone.
- You don't have to rely on your own wisdom and strength.
- Today, yield to the Holy Spirit who lives and dwells within you.
- Ask God to fill you with His Spirit.
- Receive a fresh touch from Him.
- Then, use His strength.
- Use His wisdom.
- Follow His leading.
- He has all the power you need to live as an overcomer.
- 1 Peter 1: 3 says, "For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”
- You have…Yes, I said you currently have everything you need to live a dynamic spiritual life!
- God and live Dynamic!
- Have a great Monday!
Ephesians 6:10 “...be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

"The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd." (Hebrews 11:1, 2 MSG)
- What sets you apart? - What make you distinguished? - What makes you stand out? - It's not how you dress… - It’s not your position or title at work - It’s not how much money you make. - It's not the style of shoes you wear or the type of car you drive... - It's your faith! - Faith is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. - It’s a faith that is triumphant in the worst situations. - It’s faith that says, despite what I see in “the natural”, I trust in the "Supernatural hand of God." - It’s this kind of faith that creates hope in the most hopeless situations. - It’s this kind of faith that leads to righteousness. - It’s this kind of faith that seeks and pursues God and believes in His goodness - It’s this kind of faith that clings to and Has confidence in His Word! - It’s this kind of faith that refuses to react and respond with hate and anger but responds with compassion and Peace. - It’s this kind of faith that refuses to curse others but instead, Blesses those who curse you and love those who hate you. - So here is the big question, today… - Does your faith set you apart? - Are you allowing the current political scene in this country to throw your emotions all over the place, or are you using it to point people towards your Savior? - When everyone around you is filled with rage and anger, do you bring in His peace that surpasses all understanding? - When the doctor says, “sick”, can you hear Jesus say, “Healed”? - When the bank account says, “debt”, do you hear, “I will prosper” - When you feel the enemy surround you with the feelings of depression, do you stand up and chase him off by saying, “I am God’s child and 1John 5:18 says, that Jesus holds me securely and the evil one cannot touch me!" - When the world shouts at you to live in fear, do you shout back, "I will live in faith, because My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!”? - What will people see if they are around you today? - Will they see a person who is not shaken by circumstances but Has Confident Faith in an Immoveable God? - Today, make the decision to trust in God! - Today, choose to live by faith! - Today, rise above your circumstances. - Today, don’t settle for anything less than God’s best! - Will your faith set you apart, today? - Will you really be different than everyone else around you? - Will you be distinguished? - Have a great weekend! "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)
- Do you need peace today? - Do you trust in The Lord? - Isaiah 26:3 says, "You will keep in Perfect Peace ALL" - It's for All who trust in Him...no exceptions. - The peace here is a complete peace. - It means means and undisturbed, perfect peace. - The thing that steals out peace is usually an unexpected problem or a giant mountain of a problem. - But "the problem" has no ability, on its own, to steal our Peace. - It's when we "Fix" our minds on our problem. - We give it the power to steal our peace. - The problem becomes "All Consuming" - It paralyzes us, mentally and emotionally! - But when you "Fix" your thoughts on Jesus, it changes everything. - Fixing your thoughts on Him means that you have place your confidence in Him. - Your mind is focused on God and His ability... - Not on you and your ability... - Then your life will not be disturbed when trials come. - Its a peace that is not disturbed by changing circumstances. - A peace that isn't affected by the economy - A Peace that isn't thrown off by peoples words or opinions. - It says, God will Keep you. - He is the one who personally fills you with Peace - The next verse says, "So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. (Isaiah 26:4 AMP) - That's pretty powerful... It says, Commit to Him, lean on Him, Hope in Him...FOREVER. - We are talking about physical, emotional, spiritual peace. - A peace that takes you through every trial and difficulty. - A peace that carries you through the storm. - A peace that makes you feel secure. - When you trust in Him, that is what He does for you! - God is committed to you. - It doesn't mean you won't face any storms or problems - It means He will give you Peace through the storm. - You will be protected through the problem. - Trust in Him today with everything you face. - He will guard you and keep you in Peace. - Have a great Thursday! "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer." (Psalm 19:14 NLT)
- Last night, at sunset, began Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement. - It is a day observed by most Jews around the world as their Holiest day. - Yom Kippur will continue through nightfall, today. - For Christians - Atonement means that your sins have been forgiven. - The price has been paid through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. - Hebrews 9:22 says, "Without shedding of blood there is no remission." - I John 1:7 tells us that "The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin." - God chose to give the very best that He had, His own Son. - Jesus shed His blood for you to forgive you and cleanse you of all sin. - Today, don't ignore the sin in your life. - Take some time for a self examination. - Is there sin in your life that you are overlooking? - Pray like David and say, “Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24 ) AMP - David wanted to make sure He didn't look past the sin in his life. - Allow God to search and reveal things in your life that you may not see because you have become used to it. - Maybe you have become comfortable with your own sin. - Jesus didn't die on a Cross for you to live with it. - He died so that you would have an opportunity to remove it and be cleansed from it. - Revelation 1:5 says, " To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood." - You have been loosed and freed from the Power of sin. - You no longer need to live under a weight of guilt and shame. - The price has been paid... You can live guilt free. - You are shameless because of what Christ did for you. - It is a new day and a brand new start! - Today let that be the meditation of your heart...focus on that and dwell on that. - Matt. 12:34 says, "Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." - Fill up your heart today by focussing on what Christ has done for you. - You are cleansed, and forgiven. - You are delivered. - You are healed. - Rom. 8:1 says, "Now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." - You are not condemned - you are free in Jesus name! - Fill your heart up with that and then let your mouth speak. - Testify of what He has done. - You will come to know Him as your personal Rock and Redeemer. - Have a great Wednesday. "Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken."(Psalms 62:5, 6 NLT)
- The Psalmist, David says, "Let all that I am" wait... - "All" simply means "All" - All of his efforts - All of His Resources - All of his emotions - Everything and anything that he could do on his own, he has places before The Lord ... - He has completely surrendered them to The Lord. - Is that the same for you? - Have you given every situation and every problem to The Lord or are there still some things that you are trying to work out by your own efforts? - Are you still trying to hold on and control some things that you need to let go of? - Is God not big enough? - Is He not strong enough? - Do you not trust Him? - David says, "He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken." - He can be trusted! - He is safe... His hands are the safest place to place your life. - He is your Salvation. - He can save you from the worst, most catastrophic situations. - He can save you even from terrible decisions and mistakes that you have made on your own. - He is your fortress - He can protect you from what looks like certain defeat. - There is nothing that God cannot do with you and through you when you surrender it to Him. - What used to look like defeat - now spells V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! - What seemed like death has now been flipped to LIFE! - He can totally Redeem your life and your situation so that He receives glory from it. - The circumstances that were shaking you, will shake you no longer... - You are secure on a Rock Solid, sure Foundation! - Today, make the decision to wait quietly before The Lord. - Let go and let God! - Take all of your human effort out of it and put all of your Hope in Him! - Make it God and God alone! - Wait before Him and watch how He does it! - All that you are before Him alone! - Hope in Him - Believe in Him - Trust in Him - Have a great Tuesday! Psalm 71:14 "“As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.”
- The Psalmist says, "As for me..." - How about you? - Have you made the choice today to praise God? - Have you taken the time to thank Him for His mighty power and His saving acts? - This past weekend, we had the opportunity to call on the Lord for His safety and protection as the Hurricane was bearing down on us. We braced ourselves for a direct hit. - Yet, as we prayed and called on Him, He stepped in and answered. - His answer was a slight adjustment, at the last minute, to the storm. - That slight adjustment made a huge difference. - We could either chalk it up as, "the weatherman got it wrong." - Or we could call it "Mother Nature changed the storm" - Or "we miscalculated" - But as for me...I'm going to Praise God more and more! - I'm going to thank Him. - I'm not going to let anyone else get credit for that. - He gets the credit. - I am going to say, like verse 15 says, “My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long" - ALL DAY LONG! - How about you? - Has God done anything for you? - Have you experienced His presence and power? - Don't forget! - Don't go on throughout your day without thanking Him for how far He has brought you! - Never lose your sense of wonder! - Don't take God for granted. - Verse 16 says "“I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.” - He alone deserves the Honor! - He alone deserves the praise. - Take some time this morning to thank Him! - Then it says, "Proclaim" - "Proclaim" means that it's something you have to say with your mouth! - And it means that someone is going to hear it. - Don't let negative words and words of complaining fill your mouth and the ears of all those around you. - Don't let the Devil steal your praise. - Remember what God Has done. - Recognize His greatness! - Thank Him today and Proclaim His mighty acts. - Always have hope and praise Him more and more! - Never stop! - Have a great Monday! “The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.”
(Psalms 91:14 NLT) - What do you see when you look around you? - Currently, when I look out my windows, I see a Category 4 Hurricane bearing down on us. - Wind blowing, trees bending and rain pouring down. - But is that all I can see? - If that is all I can see, then I will live in fear. - But when you are surrounded by fear and its all around you, It is the greatest opportunity to step out in faith. - Your faith will always be tested by fear! - But not faith in yourself and your own ingenuity or strength…I’m talking about faith in your God! - Fear will say, this storm is bigger than your God. - Faith says, “My God is Bigger than any storm, trial, or test. - Faith says, My God is an All Powerful, All Mighty, Compassionate God. - Faith says, when I call on His name - He is there, in strength and power! - Faith says, God will protect me and my family! - Faith says, I can trust in Him! - But if I say, “I trust in Him”, then that faith will be tested! - It’s called “The Trust Factor” - Will you call on His name and believe that He can be who you have said He can be? - Will you cling to Him and rely on Him. - If you are in the middle of a hurricane or even in any storm of life, let me encourage you to spend some time today reading and dwelling on Psalm 91. - It is an amazing Psalm of God's safety, protection and provision for all those who TRUST IN HIM. - Four names of God are given in Psalm 91: 1 & 2 alone. - He is “Most High”, that means He is greater than any threat that you face. - Then He is called, “Almighty” which emphasizes His power to confront and destroy the enemy. - Then He is called “The LORD” assuring us that His presence is always with us. - And in verse 2 He is called “my God” which expresses the truth that God has chosen to walk intimately with anyone who trusts in His name. - He has a name that can be trusted in and its a name that you can rely on. - As you close out Psalm 91, it reads like this, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” - This is what God says to you this morning: - He will rescue you! (deliver and cause you to escape) - He will protect you (set you on a high place) - He will answer you (respond to and speak to you) - He will be with you in trouble (in your afflictions and in distress) - He will deliver you (rescue, to bring into safety) - He will Honor you (which means to make rich, strong, heavy with honor) - He will give you long life and satisfy you. (you will have abundance in your journey with Him) - He will show you His salvation. (You will see deliverance & victory) - Let me encourage you to hang out with Him and dwell with Him today. - Trust in Him fresh and new, today! - Fall in love with Him all over again! - Dwell on who He is and all that He has provided for you. - God bless you, have a great weekend! Psalm 23: 4 "Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me..."
- "You are with me" - No matter what you face or what you are going through, know that God is with you! - Do Not Fear! - When you face your most confusing times. - When you doubt if God even cares. - He is with you. - God is working on the solution even before you know that there is a problem. - God already has the answer that you need. - Psalm 23:3 says, "He refreshes and restores my life (my self)" - He is a restoring God and He is not done with you yet. - He Has so much more that He wants to do with you and in you. - Don't give up! - But here is the key... - "HE LEADS me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake." (Ps.23:3) - HE LEADS... Not "you lead" - Allow Him to lead. - He knows Best. - His way is best. - His plans are best. - Let Him Lead...don't jump in and take the control from Him. - Surrender this morning to His leading. - He leads you in the path of Righteousness for HIS Name's sake! - He gives you His Word. - His name is on the Line. - He is a covenant keeping God and He can be trusted. - Put your Hope in Him. - Trust in Him. - Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." - Wherever you are going today, He Himself goes before you! - He leads! - Isaiah 40:31 says that, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - Hope in Him, today. - He will renew the strength you didn't even know you still had. - Let Him breath on you and your plans this morning with the breath of His Spirit. - Let go, and let God! - Have a great Thursday! "He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me." (Psalm 18:19)
- Do you know that God delights in you? - This morning He is proud of you and wants you to experience His love. - Psalm 147:11 says, "Then LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love." - God created you for a relationship. - You were not designed to live independent of Him in any area of your life. - He knows what makes your life the best, and it starts by making Jesus Lord of your life. - By surrendering everything to Him. - He wants you to delight in Him as He delights in you. - Psalm 37:4 says, "Take delight in the LORD,and he will give you your heart’s desires." - By saying, "Jesus, you are Lord of my life, my family, my school, my Job, my sports, my attitude, my emotions, my words...my everything!" ...You are saying I delight in you, Lord" - That is we're you find true meaning, acceptance, value and worth. - Your Creator knows what will fulfill you. - He wants to give you and lead you into the best life! - Psalm 37:5 goes on to say, "Commit your way to the Lord; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass." - He can bring your greatest dreams to pass by delighting and trusting in Him. - Thank Him for His love this morning. - Repent from anything that has made you doubt His love. - Dont hold onto anything that you are trying to control apart from Him. - Jesus says, in Matt. 16:25, " If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it." - Embrace all that He has for you. - Spend some time this morning receiving from Him. - Receive the hope that He has for you. - Receive joy that He has been wanting to give you. - Receive your identity that is only found through Christ. - Receive His favor and love that can carry you through any uncertainty. - Receive and then express thanks. - Have a great Wednesday! "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." (Ephesians 6:10 NLT)
- Paul's final word in his letter to the church of Ephesus is to be strong! - Be strong, today! - but not in your own natural strength and ability. - This doesn't come through muscles or will power. - You need to be strong in The Lord and His ability. - You are going to face challenges today. - The greatest battles you will face are not physical - The greatest battles are definitely spiritual. - In these spiritual encounters, you can choose to come under it or rise above it. - You can be overcome or you can choose to be an Overcomer! - You may face doubt, fear, depression, hopelessness, addiction, control, lust, greed, jealousy...you name it! - Put whatever label you want on it...It's all spiritual! - Don't give up or give in! - Tell the enemy that he is losing today! - Be strong because you are strong…In Him! - This is a new day and a new you...The old ways are gone! - The new you is here, arriving in the fullness of His Spirit! - Today is the day that you demonstrate how to be strong in the Lords might and His Power. - You are empowered through your unity with Him. - He Has abundant strength that He wants to give you by His Spirit. - The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.
