- This Psalm was written by David when he was hiding in a cave while being hunted down by king Saul.
- It was a very real threat and he needed protection.
- He says, "I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by."
- "The shadow of God's wings" represents his love, protection, strength and His presence.
- When troubles come, just like the hurricane this week, there is no better place to run.
- Learn the importance of running to Him.
- He says, "until the danger passes by"
- The danger has passed and God has protected.
- Think of all that we discovered about God by going through the hurricane.
- His presence was with us.
- His protection was all around us.
- His peace was upon us.
- His strength has been with us.
- And through it all He has revealed His love for us.
- He was there through the storm and He is with you, right now.
- Know that, no matter what storm you are going through today - He is with you!
- Before the storm, during the storm and after the storm...
- God is with you!
- He will never leave you or forsake you. (Heb. 13:5)
- Verse 2 of Psalm 57 is so powerful! He says, "I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills His purpose for me."
- He still has a purpose for you!
- Sometimes it's so easy to get consumed by the problem or the disaster but God is not just there to protect you through it...He still has much more for you.
- It's called, His purpose for you!
- Don't let the storm steal your purpose...
- His purpose remains!
- He still has a purpose for you that He wants to complete in you and through you after the storm.
- As you go through the storm you get close to Him and He reveals Himself to you in new ways.
- Now, continue to stay close and watch Him fulfill all that He has planned for you.
- Just as Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
- God bless you!
- Have a great weekend!
"Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.” (Psalms 57:1 NLT)

"Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. (Psalms 103:1, 2 NLT)
- Have you taken the time to Praise The Lord this morning? - Someone who doesn't praise Him, is someone who has forgotten who He is and what He has done! - Psalm 103:2 says, "Never forget the good things he does." - Not just the good things He has done but "He does." - Rom. 8:28 says, "We can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good." - Today, He is working in every detail of your life for the good. - He needs to be praised for the things that you have not even seen yet. - He has every detail taken care of. - Expect nothing less than His best. - When you choose to praise Him, it takes the focus off of you and puts it all on Him. - When you start off the day praising Him, it gives you a new outlook and a new perspective! - He is the one who gives you the breath that you breath every day. - He has done and is doing things that you cannot possibly do. - Check out what Psalm 103 goes on to say..."He forgives your sins—every one. - "He heals your diseases—every one." - "He redeems you from hell—saves your life!" - "He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown." - "He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal." - "He renews your youth—you're always young in his presence." (Psalm 103:3-5 MSG) - So today make a conscious effort to refuse to complain and refuse to look at the bad side of things. - Don't let one negative word come out of your mouth this morning! - For some of you, that will be very hard. - Choose to Praise Him with your whole heart. - Praise Him with everything that is in you. - Make an effort to dig up the things from the past, that He has done for you, that you have forgotten about. - Choose to praise Him for your current circumstances and the areas that you easily overlook and forget to praiseHim for. - Be determined to Praise Him for the Bright and Victorious future He has in store for you! - Write out a list of all the reasons that you have to praise Him and I think you will be amazed at our Great God. - Praise Him with all that you are, today and every day! - Have a great Thursday! "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”” (Psalms 91:1-2 NKJV)
"This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him." Psalms 91:2 NLT
"He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
(2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT)
"But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I AM! Stop being afraid!" (Matthew 14:27 AMP)
- Take courage this morning. - Don't try to interpret your circumstances apart from God. - Get His viewpoint. - Ask for His perspective. - There is no problem that He can't handle. - No sickness He cannot heal. - No brokenness that He cannot restore. - He is the Great I AM! - The difficulty that you face, you face with the same God who parted the Red Sea. - The brokenness that you feel like is beyond repair, you restore with the same God who gave Abraham His promised son Isaac when he was 100 years old. -The God who is with you is the same God who was with Daniel and shut the mouths of the Lions. - He is the same God who was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego when they were thrown into the Fiery furnace. - The same God who helped David defeat Goliath is the same God who can defeat your giant fears. - The same God who made the sun stand still for Joshua is the same God with you today. (Joshua 10: 13-14) - The same great God who silences the storm. - Heb. 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - There is nothing your God cannot do. - He makes a way when there is no way! - Don't look at the size of your problem...Look at the size of your God. - When you look at the size of your God you realize that you have an unfair advantage against the enemy. - Why have you tried to find all the ways you cannot win?... When God says that with Him you cannot lose! - Don't shrink him down to a size that you can understand. - Don't reduce His power to a degree that you need to help Him. - Don't try to jump in and then explain Him. - Let Him be God. - Allow Him to perform the miracle you need. - There is no problem you face alone today. - The is no difficulty you deal with on your own. - Rely completely on Him and His power today. - Take Courage today...The Great I Am Is with you! - Believe in Him, His power, His ability and His desire to step into the scene of your life today. - Have a great Thursday! "But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress." (Psalms 59:16 NLT)
- How about you? - David said, "But as for me..." - He says its important to set your mind on God and praise Him first thing in the morning. - Sing about His Power. - To many times, we start our day singing about our problem instead of His Power. - His Power overcomes the enemy. - His Power will renew your mind. - Start your morning focused on who He is and His character. - Put all of your trust in Him to take you through the trial. - Just as God told Joshua, if you put your faith and trust in Him, "...the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deut. 31:8) - There is not a thing you need to be afraid of. - There is no situation that should discourage you. - He personally goes ahead of you today. - He is blazing the trail for you. - He is the Great God Jehovah. - He parts the Waters - He shuts the mouths of the Lions - He heals the sick - He defeats the Giant - He raises the dead - He tears down the wall that is blocking your path. - There is nothing that my God cannot do! - He is Victorious over the enemy. - He has defeated death! - Start your morning shouting out who He is, what He has done and what He is going to do and watch as your faith rises. - He is completely trustworthy. - He will never, ever fail you. - Just follow Him one step at a time. - His Love for you never fails! - So, how about you? - How do you choose to start your day? - Will you sing about His Power? - Have a great Wednesday! "The LORD was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master." (Genesis 39:2 NLT)
- No matter where you find Joseph, you see that He succeeded in EVERYTHING he did! - If He is in a pit, God brings Him out. - If he's a slave, God lifts him to the position of Potiphar's personal assistant. - If he is in prison, he rises to the place of being in charge of all the prisoners. - Then from the prison to being in charge of the entire land of Egypt - It's called the favor of God. - Today, know that your circumstance or position does not determine your success. - As a Christian, you have the favor of God. - You are preferred. - No matter where you are or what you do, receive and walk in His favor. - 2 Cor. 4:15 says, "For all [these] things are [taking place] for your sake, so that the more grace (divine favor and spiritual blessing) extends to more and more people and multiplies through the many, the more thanksgiving may increase [and redound] to the glory of God." - Don't become discouraged by your circumstances. - Look at it as an opportunity to rise above. - Joseph's life was not without pain and difficulty and neither will yours. - What made the difference was how he handled the difficulties and pain. - He chose not to complain. - He chose to not quit and give up. - Don't grumble and complain that things aren't how you would like. - Complaining never gets you anywhere. - Instead, See it as a chance to put God's favor on display. - It says in Gen. 39:3 that "Potiphar noticed this and realized that the LORD was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did." - Others will notice and see Gods power at work in your life. - Today, choose to be faithful with what God has given you. - No matter how big or small your assignment is. - Be trusted with what you have and watch it multiply. - Luke 16:10 says, "“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities." - Prove to others that you have the favor of God with your faithfulness in what He has given you . - Know that God is for you today! - Walk in His favor... - Favor leaves you with no other option but to succeed. - Have a great favor filled Tuesday! "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
"The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.”
