“Consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:11 (AMP)
- On Monday I put out the challenge to clean out and eliminate three things from your life for one week.
- Get rid of them for one week and see how you feel spiritually.
- The three things are: Doubt, Being Negative and Sin.
- We have talked about the first two and finally it's time to throw out Sin.
- Usually when people hear the word "Sin", they think, "that's impossible".
- Usually we think of guilt and condemnation and we quit before they even start.
- But if God says, “You must be holy because I am holy.””(1Peter 1:16 & Leviticus 2:26)
- Then it is possible for us to remove it from our life.
- Take a real look at what the meaning of "sin" is.
- To sin means to "miss the mark"
- If the center of the bullseye is a right relationship with God, then you missed it.
- If you missed the mark, then ask yourself "why did I miss?"
- You missed because you aimed at the wrong thing.
- So, what do you do... Re-Aim.
- Instead of focusing on how you missed the mark and filling up on guilt and regret...Aim again!
- Go for it!
- Just because you failed doesn't mean you are a failure.
- Just because you missed does not mean you quit trying.
- Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”(John 14:6)
- You look at Jesus... Rediscover Jesus.
- He welcomes you with arms wide open today.
- Re-Aim at Him.
- Run to Him with all you've got.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
- I think that the word "Anyone" includes you.
- No matter how many times you have missed the mark
- No matter how many times you have failed.
- As Rom. 6:11 says, TODAY, "Consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken."
- If that relationship is broken, then it has no influence over you any more.
- But this is who you are, "Alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.”
- Today, consider yourself alive to God in Christ Jesus.
- Thank Him for His forgiveness.
- Thank Him for the opportunity for a fresh start.
- The relationship with Christ is restored!
- You are new and your relationship with Jesus is fresh and new again.
- You are alive in Him!
- can you do it?
- Of course you can.
- You've just been given a new opportunity!
- it's determined by what you let dominate you, your thoughts and your emotions.
- Take it one step at a time.
- Follow Jesus.
- God bless you!
- Have a great Wednesday!
