Psalms 17:6 NKJV
- Do you know that you can have a confident and powerful prayer life?
- Even if your prayer life is currently weak or nonexistent.
- All it takes is humbling yourself before God, and speaking to Him.
- Psalm 17:6 was a prayer of David.
- David was confident that when he prayed to God that God heard him.
- And since he knew that He heard him, He also was confident that God would answer Him.
- It all comes out of a relationship with Him.
- John 15: 7 says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."
- They Key to answered prayer is remaining in Christ.
- You get close to Jesus by getting into His Word.
- As you get into His Word, daily, His Word gets into you.
- And as His Words get in you, you will begin to see your attitude, desires and actions change.
- They will begin to line up with His desires.
- All of a sudden we will begin to see that His "wants" become our "wants".
- His purposes become our purposes.
- His desires become our desires.
- The more we hang out and get to know Jesus through His Word, the more our prayers will fall in line with His nature and His words.
- Then we will see effective prayers.
- In John 14:13-14 "Jesus says, “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
- And the end result of this kind of praying is that God gets glorified.
- So today, turn to Him, humble yourself before Him and spend some time in His presence.
- Get to know Jesus and watch what He can accomplish through you!
- Today is a great day to pray!
- Have a great weekend!
